School History
Kersley Elementary School is located 20 kilometers south of the city of Quesnel. The school takes in students from as far away as 47 kilometers south of the school. The community of Kersley is set in a rural part of the Quesnel School District, which consists of a mix of rural and suburban areas with a strong sense of community and pride in our school and area. Farming, ranching, and forestry are among the main occupations of many of our community’s residences.

The population of Kersley Elementary School is 93 students. It is located near the Kersley Community/Fire Hall and Public Arena. The community itself offers a wide variety of activities, which include sports as well as live arts and arts and crafts classes.

The school population has maintained its level for the last 6 years, while other schools in our district have had a drop of enrolment. Approximately 50% of our students are bussed to and from school. The school is afour classroom school with all of our grades split. Kersley encourages a supportive and risk free learning environment, where teachers and parents are true partners in the children’s education.
